John's venue...
drums, background vocals

John, a talented drummer able to bring many types
of drumming together, began his career working with
such local bands as The Good Rats, a popular boogie
band who were known as "the local Grateful Dead" of
Long Island!

He was drumming for a band named "Marchello" who had
been somewhat successful on "Head bangers' Ball"
and opened for Meat Loaf. In 1991, Meat took
advantage of a good thing, and hired John as his
drummer.

John toured with Blue Oyster Cult as
well as played with the Buck Dharma band.
1997 brought about a benefit concert for
Ricky Browning, a little boy with brain
cancer. John took a special interest in
this child, and even after having him
on stage helping him play the drums,
he kept contact with the child, revealing
to anyone who took notice,
his soft heart and kind spirit.

Recommended by a friend, John became the drummer
in Richie Blackmore's (of "Deep Purple" fame) band,
Rainbow. Legend has it that John auditioned and
learned the songs in one weekend!! He toured with
Rainbow last year, did the promotional tour with
Meat, and was working with two local New York bands.
INCREDIBLE!!!!!

He is very involved in endorsing drum products
and techniques and published two instructional books
entitled

"Lead Switch"

"Sticking In The Foot"

which can be purchased from Drummer's Corner
